  Do you ever really looked at your credit card and tried it to figure out what that huge string of numbers really means? These shippers have the card as many customers as its number of customers must be 16 digits long?

 You may be surprised to know that all those numbers you see really represent something, and it’s not only who you are. Let’s take a look. Most companies of the major credit cards operate on the same system when choosing a credit card number. Other cards like gas cards, store cards and phone cards go their own way. Concentrate let’s for those in the whole game by the same rules. The very first digit in each series is 3.4.5, 0R 6. This number designates the type of card as follows:

 3 = a card of the course & the entertainment like American Express or commensals beat.

4 = visa and credit cards, cash cards, etc. Visa-marked.

5 = MasterCard and credit cards, cash cards, etc. Mastercard-marked.

6 = find

 American Express and guests hit the second digit used to identify the company. This means that the club cards that start with the guests or 36 or 38 , and American Express cards or use 34 or 37 . The remaining numbers in the series are used for different purposes depending on the type of card and the dispatcher. In most cases, the next group after the opening series of numbers represents the routing number of the bank , the group then that is the number of client user’s , and final digit is a check digit of . The check digit of a number that is calculated by applying a special formula to all other numbers. The check digit is the result of that formula and is used as a check fraud. To keep things from getting too disconcerting look at your card as you follow along to the next steps. American Express Card uses digits three and four of the type (business or personal) and currency of the card holder’s of the country of origin. The digits following the fifth to the eleventh are numbers of customers. The twelve to fourteen digits to indicate the card number within the customer and the last digit is the check digit. As seen, the two to six digits represent the number of bank. Starting with the seventh digit and running with the twelfth or the fifteenth represents the number of customer and the last digit is the number of verification. Since all the cards have not seen the same amount of numbers in sequence, the number of digits in a group may vary.

 For MasterCard, the second digit, fully anywhere between the third and sixth digit is the number of bank. All remaining digits, except the check digit of the end of the series, identify the card holder client’s. Now that we have gone over it all, you probably want to know why you were ever wondering in the first place. Just remember though, knowledge is power. Some things are just fun to know.
